Sewer Backup

Raw sewage can ruin a home very quickly, and we at Request are ready and willing to clean up and make your home a place you can live again! Raw untreated sewage can pose a threat to human health, and cleanup should commence as soon as possible. However, individuals with certain health conditions and/or compromised immune systems shouldn't attempt to clean up a sewer backup.

Our technicians can and will:

  1. Remove all sewage, contaminated water, and other affected materials.
  2. Thoroughly clean up and mop the affected areas.
  3. Treat all affected areas with powerful disinfectants to eliminate pathogens from the sewage.
  4. Dehumidify or replace all absorbant materials, such as carpet or upholstery.

If need be, Request technicians will actually take some of the infected absorbant items, such as rugs and carpets, back to the office for a more thourough cleaning. Technicians will also extract any contamination from as much furniture and upholstery as possible. However, keep in mind that some items may be contaminated beyond recovery. Our technicians will be happy to go through the area with you during pre-inspection to see what items can be cleaned and what might need to be replaced.

Area rugs and wall-to-wall carpet that has been extensively saturated by the sewer backup can be a bit more difficult to clean and restore on-site. Request will remove the carpet and make every effort to restore your carpet to it's former glory. Carpet padding that has absorbed a significant amount of sewage and/or contaminated water will need to be removed and replaced. Our technicians will also clean and disinfect the subflooring to ensure further contamination does not occur. Once complete, our technician will replace the pad, carpet, rugs, and furniture.

A sewer backup poses a serious health hazard to you, your children, and your pets. That is why if you need a sewer backup cleaned, you should call Request today!
